The delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Tripoli is pleased to announce a job opening for the following position:
Communication Field Officer in Misrata Sub-delegation
Tasks & Responsibilities:
In charge of implementing communication activities in Misrata area and other areas in Libya.
Disseminating ICRC role, mandate and activities
Developing contextualized publications, generate audio visual material and photos
Contribute to the understanding of the civil society and other important stakeholders
Develop contacts with media vectors
Support in the interpretation and translation from Arabic to English and vice versa
Participates in external meetings, conferences and forums
Ensures written output, such as reports, minutes of meetings and helps develop operational communication tools both in Arabic and English
Contributes to a better understanding, acceptance and trust of the ICRC by key stakeholders of importance within Libya and this by organizing and carrying out presentations, trainings and other events
Perform other duties as assigned and provide support to other departments when necessary
Required background and experience:
2 years work experience in a similar field
Good command of written and spoken English
Good computer skills
Good analytical skills
