Al-Hays shopping centre is looking to fill a newly created position of its Stock “stock controller”, the role will involve the following:
Job Title: Stock Controller
Department: Stock Management
Reports to: Logistics Manager
Supervises: Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse Departments.
Stock Controller’s role is to manage the purchasing and replenishment of the products stored in the warehouse. The main aspect of the role is maintaining the stock levels within business plan. Directly supervising and monitoring Purchasing , and Sales Departments.
§ Bachelor Degree in Business Management or Finance.
§ Master’s Degree is not mandatory.
§ Minimum 4 years Experience in warehouse, and inventory management.
§ Intermediate knowledge in Accounting / Finance.
§ Computer Skills – Excellent use of the POS systems, Purchasing, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
§ Literacy and Numeracy – English Language is necessary, knows how to deal with numbers.
§ Communication Skills – Excellent Verbal and Written Communication, Very good listener.
§ Time Management / Anger Management / Organizational Skill / Leadership Skill.
§ Quick and Effective Decision Making.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1- Stock Control:
§ Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment in the main warehouse.
§ Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner.
§ Supervise the national and international purchase process.
§ Oversee the wholesale products sale process.
§ Control and monitor Return Process from the stores.
§ Observe correct stock receiving and data entry protocols.
§ Schedule work for special and periodic inventory Plans.
§ Respect and Implement all warehouse policies.
§ Send Official Daily and Weekly Report to Warehouse Management.
§ Traces history of items to determine reasons of differences between inventory and stock control records.
§ Studies records and recommends corrective actions for reported non usable, slow-moving, and excess stock.
2- Warehouse Management:
§ Maintain the storeroom and the allocation of space for stock. Ensure the storeroom meets regulations.
§ Follow up the merchandising distribution in the market with the warehouse Manager.
§ Choose a defined area in the warehouse for return products. This area will include out of dates, damaged and un-saleable goods.
§ Ensure that all products are easily accessed for shipping to Store Branches.
