Field Visits / Operations Assistant - Azzawiya

Overview of position Under the overall supervision of the Senior Operations Officer and the direct supervision of the Operations Officer (Voluntary Humanitarian Return assistant - VHR),
Role objectives The incumbent will be responsible for the data verification, management and analysis for all VHR programs.
Expected output Identify Migrants 
Coordinate with appropriate colleagues to assist with travel documents and exist visa 
Verify migrants document/identity as necessary and confirm the validity of travel documents prior interview appointment. 
Conduct migrants interviews using following IOM standard forms, procedures and code of conduct. 
Coordinate with the appropriate colleagues to proceed with the booking 
Coordinate with the medical staff for the FTT Medical Check 
Keep track and properly ensure that the information collected in the interviews is correctly and accurately entered into IOM Movement database 
Ensure that '' general status report'' as well as all files related to operational activities are kept up to date 
Assist in the airport if needed 
Inform about any NO-SHOW cases 
Participate in discussions on procedures and Practices to improve the efficiency of process delivery 
Perform such other duties as may be assigned
Project reporting Operations Officer - Voluntary Humanitarian Return
Key competencies Education 
Secondary School Diploma 
Certificate in Business Administration, Tourism or relevant field will be an advantage. 
Strong practical computer skills, including Excel spread sheet and Access database and experience of work with on-line applications. Required IOM functional competencies: effective communicator, successful negotiator, creative and analytical thinker, active learner, team player and cross cultural facilitator, ability to read, understand and apply written instructions and guidelines, interpret instructions and resolve work related problems; detect input/output errors, perform basic arithmetical calculations. Mature individual and able to work in overtime, when requested and independently, 
Previous working experience with NGOs or international organizations. is an added advantage. 

Experience preferably with a Government agency, International Organization or NGO involved in Migration management and/or working in the field of human rights 
Experience with raising awareness 
Experience in producing documents for publication and in writing and producing print ready documentation in different styles and formats to a high standard. 
Familiarity with Project Cycle Management including the monitoring and evaluation of results/outcomes/evidence of impact 
Excellent IT skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with proven experience in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word processing and Power point. 

Languages required 

English - Fluent 
Working Knowledge of Arabic
